Account & Data Deletion

If you can access your account, you can delete it directly inside Vanta from:

Settings / Account → Delete account

The in-app deletion flow requires explicit confirmation before Vanta deletes your account and associated app data.

If you cannot access your account, email support with the subject line:

Vanta Account Deletion Request

Include the account email address and username connected to your Vanta account.

In-app deletion uses your authenticated session. Email deletion requests will be processed after reasonable verification that the request belongs to the account owner. Do not send passwords, journal PINs, API keys, or private tokens in the email.

• Account and profile information.
• Tasks and subtasks.
• Habits, food logs, water logs, supplement logs, and custom habit data.
• Workout plans, workout logs, workout sessions, and exercise plan data.
• Analytics records and app-generated progress data associated with the account.
• WHOOP tokens and imported WHOOP data stored in Vanta.
• Encrypted journal payloads and journal metadata stored in Vanta.

Some backups, logs, security records, or provider records may remain for a limited time where required for security, legal, operational, or backup reasons.

Users can disconnect WHOOP in Vanta where the app provides that option. Deleting a Vanta account does not delete the user's WHOOP account.

If the journal PIN is forgotten, encrypted journal content may not be recoverable. Account deletion removes stored Vanta data after verification, but it does not recover encrypted content.
